Default Intel or AMD


In the market for a laptop and a question of processors come to mind. Which one is better Intel Centrino Duo, Intel Pentium Dual-Duo, Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo, or AMD Turion? Im not really savy on computer tech so please educate me...i mean whats the difference and what application would i use for school (im in the market for a laptop for college).

well i see this is somewhat a flame war but i have to say that Intel is King in all areas but AMDs are not bad and they are quite good in laptops and have pulled there weight and are Fast in alot of respecs but if you want the best tech world has to offer then the best bet would be any Desktop or laptop thats CORE 2 DUO based but you cant go wrong with a AMD based either.

Depends on the deals you can get but as far as the BEST goes its INTEL

I much prefer AMD for gaming, as AMD and ATI are now together, they will be designed to work amazingly well together. Both companies in my experience and use are much better.
